INDICATION: |
|
Gastric and duodenum ulcer and their symptoms such as upper abdominal pain, increase of pain when hungry, hyperacidity and mild occult gastrointestinal bleeding. |

COURSE AND INSTRUCTION: |
|
| 1. |
For simple gastric and duodenal ulcer, most patients will experience obvious improvement of symptom after 7-10 days of treatment. Over 95% of patients will have complete healing of ulcer and relief of symptom after 30-60 days of treatment. Generally, continuation of treatment for up to 60-90 days is necessary for complete healing of the disease. In occasional cases, the course should be extended to 80-90 days. |

For patients with mild occult gastrointestinal bleeding, such as vomiting of a small amount of blood or passing tarry stools but no drop in blood pressure or severe upper abdominal pain, bleeding will stop 1-8 hours after taking LAM KAM SANG® ULCERIN®. Close observation of the patients for any emergency is necessary. |

Some patients show obvious improvement after 10-20 days of treatment. The most common causes are:
| A. |
The patients is suffering from chronic gastritis rather than ulcer when he/she shows upper abdominal distension and pain, loss of appetite and nausea. In such a case, the patient should switch to take LAM KAM SANG® GASTRIN for a quick recovery. |
| B. |
The patient is complicated with chronic gastritis when he/she shows both the signs of chronic gastritis and ulcer. In such a case, the patient should take both LAM KAM SANG® ULCERIN® and LAM KAM SANG® GASTRIN for 30 days. After that LAM KAM SANG® GASTRIN can be withdrawn while LAM KAM SANG® ULCERIN® should be continued until the disease is cured. |
| C. |
The patient is complicated with gastric prolapse or pyloric obstruction, which retards the transportation of foods. Milder cases can still be cured with extended treatment of LAM KAM SANG® ULCERIN®. However, patients of severe cases should seek other alternatives such as surgery. |
| D. |
If patients show no obvious improvement after 20-30 days of treatment and have loss of appetite, change of taste and progressive weight loss, they should consult their specialist for examination for malignancy. |

ADMINISTRATION: |
|
5 capsules each time, 3 times a day, taken after meal with warm water.
Patients’ weight above 60 kg should take 6-7 pills each time.
For gastrointestinal bleeding, take out the powder from 8-12 capsules and mix it with warm water. Take the mixture slowly for every 4 hours until the bleeding is stopped. |

CONTRAINDICATION: |
|

Discontinue treatment temporarily during a cold, fever or acute bacterial infection. |
| 2. |
Avoid anger, depression, excessive stress and extreme hunger. |
| 3. |
Avoid eating deep-fried, barbecued, hot, spoiled, and indigestible foods during treatment. Avoid shell sea foods such as crabs and shrimps. Alcohol and cigarettes should also be abstained during treatment. |
